A man in his 30s has died following an assault in Sligo.
He was attacked in the Rockwood Parade area of the town on Tuesday evening.
The man was transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he has since passed away.
Gardaí in Sligo are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the assault.

A post mortem will be conducted and the results of which will direct the further course of the investigation.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
