The search for a Tipperary man missing in Kerry has been stood down.

Gardaí say a body has been found by the local Mountain Rescue team.

The 61-year-old failed to return to his accommodation after climbing Carrauntoohil on Wednesday.

The body will be recovered from its current location on McGillycuddy's Reeks to allow for a formal identification to take place.
