Shortage of ambulances available in the South East due to an industrial dispute

Concerns are being expressed about levels of ambulance cover in some parts of the country, due to an industrial dispute.

Around 500 paramedics, who are members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association, are in dispute with the HSE.

It's understood that in Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford, five out of eleven ambulances were not available last night because of an overtime ban.
