Singer Sinead O'Connor has paid tribute to her son after his death in tragic circumstances.
17-year-old Shane was described as 'the very light of my life by his mother in a tweet.
Gardai confirmed that they had stood down a search for Shane, who had been missing since Thursday.
His remains were found in the Bray area of County Wicklow yesterday.

In a tweet, Sinead stated:
My beautiful son, Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the very light of my life, decided to end his earthly struggle today and is now with God.
May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace:
