South East food producers set to flock to Dungarvan

The West Waterford Festival of Food has officially been launched.

The annual foody function has been running since 2008.

Highlights from this years brochure include; the Greenway food trail cycle, restaurant trails, and Sunday market.

CEO of the festival Claire Dalton said, it's a massive showcase for the town, the region, the county - all the producers.

Especially I think all the producers come from all over the county and a little further, we sneak a few probably cross-borders and stuff.

It's their chance to make their mark and get their name out there.

Things like, we have Mezze who operate out of Dunhill - who do Middle Eastern food - they're putting on a pop-up event this year.

It's their opportunity - they don't have a restaurant, they don't have a place to do that kind of work.

It's their opportunity to have a showcase the food that they produce and hopefully then get the customer basis to come to the market to buy from them."

This years event runs from April 21st to 23rd across West Waterford.
