South East start-ups wanted by WIT

Waterford Institute of Technology wants to hear from potential South East start-ups.

Their New Frontiers Development Programme aims to provide intensive training, space, business master classes, networking plus 15 thousand Euro in financial support to budding entrepreneurs.

Potential applicants must have a well thought-out business idea or an innovative technology they'd like to develop.

Eugene Crehan, New Frontiers Programme Manager at the institute, notes some of the past applicants:

"It's a real opportunity for somebody with a business idea to move it further along the road toward commercialisation.

"Other companies that have done so from across the region include Pundit Arena from Tipperary, Tucker from Waterford and Ion Herbs from Wexford.

"They've all gone through the programme, and it helped them to get from idea to concept and on towards commercialisation of the idea."
