The recent dry weather looks set to come to an end.
Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Weather Warning for Munster and Connacht.
The warning comes into effect from midday tomorrow, with the forecaster predicting heavy showers or longer spells of rain and thundery downpours leading to some spot flooding.
The alert is due to end on Saturday afternoon.
