Students will be able to earn more from summer jobs without losing eligibility for the SUSI grant

Students will be able to earn more from summer jobs without losing eligibility for the SUSI grant under plans going to Cabinet this morning.

The holiday earnings disregard will increase from €4,500 to €6,552.

Higher Education Minister Simon Harris hopes this will help with skills shortages in tourism and hospitality over the coming months.

He's also bringing a memo to Cabinet to allow Ukrainian refugees greater access to education.
