Third south east Iceland store creates 25 new jobs

25 new jobs have been created in Clonmel.

Food retailer Iceland has today opened its eleventh Irish store in the Showgrounds Shopping Centre in Clonmel.

This is the third store in the south east with other outlets in Carlow and Waterford.

The chain also has plans for further stores to open in 2016.

Speaking on the announcement Ron Metcalfe, Managing Director of Iceland Ireland said; “We are delighted to be back in Clonmel to open our latest store. It’s fantastic to see how well received Iceland has been in Ireland in recent years and we are continuing to invest in more stores in the coming months.

I’d like to personally welcome our 25 new employees to the company too and wish everyone in our Clonmel store all the best for a busy summer and for the years ahead.’’
