A pedestrian is seriously injured in hospital after he was hit by a car in Co. Tipp overnight.
The incident took place at around 4.45am on the Cahir Road in Clonmel near the Poppyfields retail park.
The road between Abbey Meadows and the Clonmel Park Hotel is closed following the incident.
The driver of the car was not injured.

Gardaí in Clonmel are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash to come forward.
