Two Irish men have been charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting of a former police detective in Australia.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Mark Dixon and Jack Harvey were arrested near Byron Bay on Wednesday.
They were taken into custody in connection with the investigation into the shooting of a former detective-turned real estate agent in Melbourne last Thursday.
The man was shot in the face and remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
