WIT Students Union warn of new drug in circulation

A dangerous new drug is currently in circulation in Waterford.

The drug, with the street name 'Pink Lady', has been in circulation during RAG Week in WIT according to their Student's Union.

WITSU Vice President for Welfare, Michael Murphy has urged young people to avoid the drug and to practice caution:

"We were informed during the week about a drug being sold under the disguise of Ecstacy called 'Pink Lady'.

However we've been informed that this drug isn't ecstacy, it's not what you're being told what it is and it's much more stronger than that, something that we don't know much about and something we're very concerned about.

So simply if you're offered this drug, we're advising people not to take it.

If you have taken it and you're worried about yourself or a friend, please contact the emergency services straight away, a GP or a medical professional."
