Yellow Rain Warning in place for the entire South East

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for the entire South East from 3pm today.

Heavy rain and strong winds are expected in Wicklow, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Galway and throughout Munster.

The alert will last until 9am tomorrow morning.

There's also a yellow wind warning coming into force at the same time for Wexford, Waterford and 5 other counties.

The forecaster is warning of strong southeast winds with some severe gusts of 90 to 110km/h expected, strongest in coastal areas.
