Fans of the domestic game can raise a glass with confirmation that attendance in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division grew by 23.2% compared to last year.
As the 2023 season has paused for the summer break, 349,867 fans have attended fixtures in the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division so far this term.
The average attendance this season has grown from 2,784 to 3,430 when comparing the same period, with champions Shamrock Rovers holding the highest average home attendance of 6,028 - an increase of 5% on last year.

Drogheda United celebrated the highest increase in supporters as they welcomed a rise of 39% in crowds from 1,364 to 1,896.
In the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division, average crowds are up 8%. Waterford FC has seen an increase of 42%, while Wexford FC has enjoyed a growth of 77%.
To date, 109,977 supporters have made the way to 95 First Division games.
Meanwhile, the average attendance in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division has risen by 80% as 10,354 more people attended games this season.
League of Ireland Director, Mark Scanlon, said: "It is hugely encouraging to see the rise in crowds once more at the halfway point this season.
"We traditionally see a rise in crowds at the start of the season but to see the rise in attendances being maintained shows the rise in popularity of the League of Ireland.
"Though we are pleased to see crowds continuously rise across all three Divisions, it also highlights the need for investment in our stadia to help progress the League of Ireland and welcomes even more fans into grounds for both the men’s and women’s Divisions as outlined in the new FAI Facilities Investment Strategy."

Sadhbh Doyle has been awarded the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division Player of the Month for May.
Doyle has been crucial in Peamount United opening up a six-point lead at the top of the table,
The 23-year-old has netted three times in her last four outings, with a brace against Galway United and the winning goal away to Shelbourne a standout.
"Winning the Player of the Month Award is just a reflection on how well Peamount are doing this season," said Doyle.
