A trip to Belgium in October ignites the start of three difficult fixtures for the Ireland Women's Under-19s, as the young girls in green begin their 2023/24 UEFA Women's Under-19 European Championship qualification campaign.

Dave Connell's side has been with Belgium, Netherlands and Faroe Islands in Group A6, with the mini-tournament set from October 25-31.

Ireland will aim to take their first steps toward qualification for a first finals tournament.

Elsewhere, the Ireland Women's Under-17s will travel to Poland for their Round 1 games.

Following the draw, they will face off against the hosts, Iceland and Norway in Group A2.

Meanwhile, the Ireland Women's National Team continued preparations for the FIFA World Cup with an Open Training session earlier today (Friday, June 16).

The session began at 11.00 am this morning and saw fans flock to the UCD Bowl in Dublin.

The day supplied an opportunity for supporter engagement, with autographs and photos welcomed throughout.

The Girls in green face co-hosts Australia in Group B on Thursday, July 20, with kickoff set for 11.00 am Irish time.

Olympic medallists Canada and Nigeria complete the group.
