Tyson Fury has confirmed that he will face former UFC heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

Fury's WBC heavyweight title will not be on the line, but the bragging rights for the baddest man on the planet are already front and centre.

The heavyweight kingpin last fought in December when he stopped Derek Chisora in 10 rounds after talks for an undisputed world title showdown against Oleksandr Usyk fell through earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Usyk will be defending his WBA, IBF, and WBO crowns against Daniel Dubois next month.

Ngannou established himself as a formidable puncher during his journey towards becoming the UFC heavyweight champion, which he held until his controversial departure from the company in January.

Although he has no previous professional experience in boxing, his pedigree as a knock-out artist makes this an intriguing clash for the fight fan.

Early reports suggest that there will be three ringside judges in attendance for the bout.

The 10-point must system will be used, which is standard for all official boxing matches, as we await confirmation of the number of rounds.

"This guy is supposed to be the hardest puncher in the world, but let’s see how he reacts when he gets hit by the Big GK," Fury said.

"I can’t wait to get back out there. I’m looking forward to showing the world that The Gypsy King is the greatest fighter of his generation in an epic battle with another master of his craft.

"There is no one tougher than me, and you’ll all see that in devastating fashion on October 28."
