Wexford teens discover their friendship goes back much further than they initially thought...

"It's a small world!"

The most overused expression of all time, but it couldn't be more true in this case.

On The Takeover tonight, (Wednesday), Emma asked you the weird and wonderful ways you met your best friend.

This prompted Kaytlyn Fitsharris to get in touch..

Kaytlyn only discovered in recent weeks that one of her best friends today, (Fai Besemer), was a young girl she spent hours playing with in Dublin Zoo when they were kids.

"I was 5 years old and went to Dublin zoo. Met this girl and played all day long with her. I am now 16 and in 5th year and the girl that is in my class now and has been for the last 5 years sent me this photo of us . This is the girl I met in Dublin zoo and only found out it was her this year and now even in the same group of friends!", she tells us via Whats App.

So, how did they make the connection?

"We have been in the same class for the last 5 years. She said she was going through some old pictures and came across those. She sent me the picture and said that it looked exactly  like me! And I was like eh what the hell that is me ! 😂", Kaytlyn explains.
