Kanye is being sued

KANYE West is being sued by a fan after releasing his latest album, The Life Of Pablo, on multiple streaming services.

Ye announced that his latest work would only be available to listen to on Jay Z's Tidal, forcing fans to subscribe to the streaming service.

He tweeted in February: "My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale… You can only get it on Tidal."

However, soon after the album was released on rival streaming website, Spotify, as well as iTunes, Pandora, Google Play, and Kanye's own website.

Ye is now facing a lawsuit from fan, Justin Baker-Rhett, on the claims that the rapper lied about the exclusivity to force fans to sign up and subscribe to Jay Z's music platform.

Subscribers to Tidal skyrocketed after Kanye's claims to his fans, and it was reported that the number of users jumped from 1 million to 2.5 million within 10 days following the release.

Some fans were charged twice, due to a billing glitch in the app after Kanye re-released the album.
