Tipp duo The 2 Johnnies have issued an unreserved apology following "sexist" comments made in a promotional video.
The controversial post was reported to have made several tasteless references to female genitalia.
The comments even garnered political attention with Social Democrats TD Holly Cairns noting that public broadcaster RTÉ should "not be laughing along with them."
The post has since been deleted from all social media platforms.
John O'Brien and John McMahon issued a joint statement on Thursday afternoon apologising for the upsetting content.
The statement read: "These posts were offensive and should never [have] been published.
"This is not who we are nor what we stand for. We aim to do better in the future, we are not perfect and were learning all the time."
