150 jobs coming to the South East

Pharmaceutical giant MSD have announced a total of 200 jobs across the country

According to the Irish Times, the majority of the jobs will come at it's plant on the Dublin Road in Carlow, with 110 jobs being made available.

40 positions are coming on stream in MSD's plant in Ballydine in Co Tipperary, with a further 50 jobs being made available in Cork.

The plant in Carlow is the company's only standalone biologistics and vaccines facility that is not in the US, and they'll be seeking production, engineering and quality control staff.

Meanwhile at the facility in Ballydine in Tipperary, the company is looking for process and chemical engineers and organic chemists to help with the company's R&D.

Recruitment for the positions across both counties is now underway.
