First Data has announced it intends to establish a research and development centre in Nenagh
Supported by the Department of Jobs and IDA Ireland, the R&D centre will be the first Irish location outside of Dublin, and will double the company's workforce to over 600.
First Data is a global leader in technology and solutions, and serves approximately 6 million businesses and 4 thousand financial institutions in over 118 different countries worldwide
Among the jobs at the new centre in Stereame Business Park in Nenagh will be application and software development as well as business analysis

Hiring is expected to commence later this year, with opening of the centre in 2017.
