49 entries from the South East are going to the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition

Final preparations are being put in place for next year's BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.

49 entries are going forward from Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and Tipperary.

The competition takes place in the RDS in Dublin on the second week of January 2018.

Mari Calahane, head of the exhibition, says "we were lucky enough to let the qualifying schools know they had made it through before the mid-term break".
