808 Ukrainian pupils are now enrolled in primary and secondary schools across the South East.

There are 352 in Wexford, 211 in Waterford, 104 in Tipperary, 76 in Kilkenny and 65 in Carlow.

Figures from the Department of Education show a total of 5.843 are now enrolled in schools across the country.

Labour's Education spokesperson, Deputy Aodhán Ó Riordáin says it's great they've been welcomed but it could be better coordinated:

"The overall coordination of this overall needs to be improved."

"But, in such a short space of time, it does show again the fantastic work that does go on in individual schools in our primary and second level sector."
