"Advanced negotations" to reopen Aherlow House Hotel

There is renewed hope for the future of the Aherlow House Hotel in Co. Tipperary.

The receiver Grant Thornton has confirmed to Beat News it is in "advanced negotiations" with potential operators and purchasers with a view to reopening the hotel as soon as possible.

The hotel closed its doors last week after a number of years in receivership with the loss of 25 jobs.

As many as 40 couples who had booked weddings in the hotel were also forced to make alternative arrangements, and were left unsure if their deposits would be refunded.
