Barnardos calls on the public to support children affected by homelessness

Barnardos children’s charity is calling on the public to help them support children affected by homelessness by donating to their national collection day kindly supported by Dell EMC in towns across the county, this Friday 15th September.

There are 2895 children in Ireland currently affected by homelessness.

Children are the most vulnerable victims of homelessness, but they are often invisible.

Through their work across the country, Barnardos see that issues around coping with homelessness, difficulties accessing private rented accommodation and an inability to secure social housing, are constant struggles for so many families.

Barnardos work with children and families providing stability amidst the chaos and uncertainty of homelessness.

Through their services like breakfast and after school clubs, early year’s and family support services, they help children and families through this time and work with them to try and improve their situation.

You can help Barnardos create brighter futures for these children by supporting our National Collection Day kindly supported by Dell this Friday 15th September.
