Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred in Kilcop on the Dunmore Road, Co. Waterford this morning.
The collision between a car and a cyclist occurred at approximately 7am.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has since been removed to University Hospital Waterford.
This stretch of road is currently closed pending an examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
PREVIOUSLY
The Waterford/Dunmore East Rd (R684) is currently closed between Hickey's Cross and the Woodstown turn-off due to a serious road traffic incident.
The incident occurred on the road between Jaybee's Shop and Bell lake Junction in County Waterford at around 7 am this morning.
Gardai and emergency services are at the scene and diversions are currently in place.
