Do you know this dog? Irish rail ask for help finding owners of pup who hopped on train to Dublin

Iarnród Éireann have taken to twitter to help find the owners of a dog who hopped on a train to Dublin.

The brown and black dog, who appears to be a terrier, apparently snuck on the train at Newbridge in Kildare.

The furry friend then found himself at Dublin's Heuston station, where he is currently being looked after by staff as they try to track down his owners.

However, this isn't the first canine to have gone off on an Irish Rail adventure by themselves.

Just a few months ago, in April, Hamish the dog made headlines when he arrived at Heuston Station early in the morning.

Writing on twitter, Irish Rail said: "Another lost dog on the Kildare line!! This little lad boarded this morning at Newbridge, but is being looked after by Heuston staff at present. Can we find his owners?"
