Drivers are being warned of a crackdown on speeding on the M7 from this morning

GoSafe vans are being deployed along the route of the roadwork's to widen the motorway outside Naas in Co. Kildare.

A speed limit of 60 kilometres per hour is in effect along the 9 kilometre stretch.

From today, the speed enforcement vans will be in place, along with patrols by local Roads Policing Units.

Superintendent Declan McCarthy of Naas Garda Station says the speed vans will be very active.
