Fire services tackle blaze in Waterford City

UPDATE AT 17:24PM

Two units of the fire service attended a blaze in Waterford City this afternoon.

Units responded to the fire at a residential apartment on William Street just before 4pm.

The fire was contained in one apartment where the blaze was successfully put out.

One person was the only occupant of the building and was safely removed from the area.
