UPDATE: One person has been arrested.
Two pensioners were robbed on their way home in Waterford City last night.
At approximately 9:50 PM two males tried to snatch two ladies' handbags (66 & 68 years-old) in the Broad Street area.
One was knocked to the ground and sustained a cut to her hand.

One bag was taken - as one of the ladies managed to hold onto hers.
Two males were involved - one taller than the other and both wearing hoodies.
Gardaí are checking out CCTV in order to find a more detailed description.
