Gardai launch murder investigation in Kildare

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following the murder of a man whose torso was found yesterday in a suitcase in the Grand Canal in County Kildare.

A post mortem examination by the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis has taken place at Naas General Hospital.

Garda forensics experts today inspected the scene near Ardclough village, and the Garda sub aqua team has been searching the canal.
