Irish people with a love of "all things down under" celebrate Australia Day

Irish people with a love of 'all things down under' are joining their 'Aussie' colleagues, in celebrating Australia Day.

There was a corporate event in Croke Park yesterday - there's a gala ball in Dublin tonight - and all around the country groups of people with Australian connections are coming together to party.

The Ireland Australia Association was set up in 1981 to forge new links between Ireland and Australia.

President, Clinton Duncan says it now enjoys a broad membership from all around the island of Ireland.
