A 31-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 28-year-old woman in Co Kilkenny last Sunday.
Rita Apine was discovered at the bottom of the stairs of her terraced house in Bridge St in Freshford, and died later in hospital.
The man, with an address at Bridge St in Freshford, was brought before a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court today charged with her murder.

An application was made for legal aid, and he will appear again in Clover Hill district court on Friday.
