A Kildare man has been sentenced to eight months in jail and fined five thousand euro for allowing two dogs to nearly die.
Thomas Cross of 13 Grove Heights in Robertstown admitted two counts of animal cruelty at Naas District Court.
The boxer dogs were extremely emaciated, and had their ribs and other bones protruding when they were rescued last year.
