Online service to cut the cost of visiting a GP in the South East

With waiting times stretched to breaking point and costs at an all-time high, accessing essential healthcare can sometimes be a daunting experience.

Thankfully, technology is playing its part in reducing both the cost and waiting time of crucial medical services.

Enter myclinic, an online GP consultation service where all you need is your smartphone and a decent internet connection.

Bringing several aspects of GP care into one place, myclinic allows you to video call a GP, physio or counsellor from the comfort of your own home.

Operating seven days a week, this service could come in handy for those living in rural areas, or if you were stranded at home during Storm Emma Mark II, (but let's hope that never happens).

Registration is free and whats more, a GP consultation costs €20 - a sizable saving on the typical €50+ you'd need to fork out in a surgery.

Prescriptions are sent by post within 24 hours, or directly to a pharmacy for same-day collection if needed urgently.

Beat's Shonagh spoke to MyClinic's Daniel Clear earlier this week. Check it out below...
