Parts of Wexford have been experiencing water outages today following a power outage at the Kilmallock Water Treatment Plant.
Power was lost at the plant for a number of hours which resulted in supplies being cut off to approximately 5,000 customers.
Areas affected include Ballymurn, Glenbrien, Curracloe, Oilgate, Crossabeg, Oulart and Ballagh.
Supplies have now been restored to most areas however those on the periphery of the network may be without water further into the evening.

However, customers are being advised that the issues will be rectified by the end of the day.
