Waterford FC has announced "The Solas Centre" as their official charity partner for the 2017 season.
The Blues have teamed up with the charity who provide cancer support services to the South East region.
The club will designate four home games this season as Solas Cancer Support Centre events, the first of which took play place last weekend
Ann Marie Power, fundraiser Coordinator at the Solas Cancer Support Centre, explains how the idea came about
"We were recently approached by Waterford FC about us becoming their official charity partner for 2017."

"In 2016, we had a ten percent increase in the demand of our services, 24 percent of which were males and 76 percent were females."
