Waterford deputy calls for living wage of €11.50 per hour

A Junior Jobs Minister has called for a 25% rise in the minimum wage over the next two years.

Waterford deputy John Halligan wants the current wage of €9.15 per hour to raise to €11.50.

Mr. Halligan has also called for a move away from the minimum wage towards a living wage.
