Met Eireann has issued a status yellow warning for rain in 4 counties in the South East.
Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford are impacted, with persistent downpours on the way from midnight.
The warning will last almost the entire day, it expires at 11pm tomorrow night.
Forecasters are also warning of some possible localised flooding because of the rainfall.
