Witness comes forward in relation to Ballymun murder case

A witness has come forward following a garda appeal as part of the investigation into the murder of Lisa Thompson in Ballymun in Dublin.

Gardaí issued an appeal yesterday asking a man who made contact with officers in the days after the 52-year-old's death to get in touch.

Officers now say the man has contacted the investigation team and is currently assisting.

Lisa Thompson's body was discovered at her home on the 10th May, and the investigation is continuing.

Earlier in the week, Gardaí were trying to establish if the Dublin mother had developed any new relationships before her murder.

The force has yet to identify a chief suspect for the violent death of Lisa Thompson.

The 52-year-old was stabbed up to 12 times at her home in Ballymun.

An Garda Síochána in Ballymun wish to thank the public for all their assistance so far in this investigation.
