Gardaí in Waterford are appealing for witnesses to a Road traffic accident.
It happened on Friday evening at around 7:30pm.
The collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian happened at St Carthages Avenue in Waterford.
An incident had occurred earlier and the driver was leaving the Cul de Sac when a youth was struck.

The Black VW Golf was later discovered in Cannon Street about 300 metres from where the accident happened.
Gardaí are anxious to speak to any witnesses or anyone who saw the car leaving in the Cannon Street direction.
The injured youth was taken to hospital with serious ankle and pelvic injuries.
