The Meta CEO showed how the update will work by showcasing a chat between him and his wife Pricilla Chan.

According to LadBible, the disappearing messages or ‘Vanish mode’ mentioned by Zuckerberg was announced in November of 2020.

He explained how people will be able to decide how long messages are shown in chats for before disappearing. Anywhere between 5 seconds and 24 hours.

Going on to state that “People don’t always want or need their messages to stick around, and the timer controls let someone decide when their messages expire in the chat."
