One in three Gen Z-ers have admitted they cannot use a regular household appliance.

A third of those aged between 18 and 25 years have admitted that they cannot use an iron, despite it being one of the most regularly used household items.

Incredibly, millennials were not far behind, as 1 in 5 reported they couldn't work the iron either.

A survey of Britons aged 25-39 years found a staggering 62% had difficulty with the settings and steam button on an iron.

Another survey from Airtasker research found that only 1 in 4 millennials were confident that they could defrost a freezer or assemble flat-pack furniture.

Meanwhile, members of Gen Z are also six times more likely to ask someone for help with housework rather than do it on their own.
