The biggest pet peeve for Irish shoppers is...

Rude retail staff is the biggest turn off for Irish consumers.

A survey by Webloyalty also shows 58 per cent of people say price increases of more than 10 per cent would make them switch their shopping habits.

In general Irish consumers are quite loyal with 63 per cent saying they they tend to use the same retailers regularly.

But 57 per cent say they do shop around to ensure they get the best price with 27 per cent researching an item before they buy it.

The survey also showed that Irish shoppers now paying more attention to online reviews with the average consumers writing 2.6 reviewed online in a year.
