Smyths Toys asks kids to get their letters to Santa EXTRA early this Christmas

Smyths Toys have said that due to global shipping issues and container shortages, some kids may be left disappointed on Christmas morning, with the international logistical nightmare playing havoc with the workshop getting all the parts it needs to make all the toys needed for the big day.

The toy retailer has also warned other customers to shop early for Christmas to "avoid the rush and avoid disappointment."

A spokeswoman for the store said today that "global shipping and container shortages are causing supply issues in many parts of our lives."
