This young Waterford team had the greatest day out when their hero joined them

Playing at Croke Park is the dream for most GAA players, and one lucky young Waterford team got the chance to do it last week.

Erin's Own is Waterford City's oldest GAA club and the young club members were taking part in a Littlewoods Ireland Go Games blitz at Croke Park.

Go Games are small-sided versions of Hurling and Gaelic Football which have been devised for children up to and including 11 years of age.

The kids weren't aware that they'd be joined on their journey to GAA HQ by Hurler of the Year and local hero, Aussie Gleeson.

As one young lad puts it, it was "one of the greatest days of my life."

Aussie appeared to enjoy the day himself.
