Status Yellow rainfall warning for the South-East to come into effect tonight

A status yellow rainfall warning has been issued for all five South-East counties later tonight.

Met Eireann says up to 30 millimetres of rain is possible in Carlow, Kilkenny,  Wexford, Tipperary and Waterford.

Heavy downpours are also expected in Laois, Wicklow and Cork.

The forecaster is warning of a risk of spot flooding.

It will run from 8pm tonight until 10am tomorrow morning.
