Boy spends €900 on takeaways on his dad's phone

Have you ever had a little one wreak havoc with your phone?

One little boy has made headlines in America for spending $1,000 (€900) on takeaways on his dad's phone.

9-year-old Mason from Michigan used a food delivery app called Grubhub to order a mountain of food to his home. His father only realised what he had done when the doorbell started to ring over and over.

"All these cars and all these lights and all these doorbells start going off, they kept coming! his father Keith told Good Morning America. "Giant orders of jumbo shrimp, endless chilli cheese fries, rice, endless ice cream" were arriving at the door, Keith said. "I looked at my bank account and it was getting drained," the father told the Washington Post

Mason had also attempted to order over 400 dollars worth of pizza, but the bank had thankfully declined this transaction due to suspected fraud.

After realising what his son had done, Keith went to have a stern chat with Mason. "I went to talk to Mason about what he did, and this is the only part that makes me laugh," says Keith. "I was trying to explain to him that this wasn't good, and he puts his hand up and stops me and says 'Dad, did the pepperoni pizzas come yet?'"

God loves a trier...
