The house that inspired the James Wan 2013 horror film 'The Conjuring' has just been sold in the US for €1.4 million.

Though the Rhode Island house does not actually feature in the films, it is the real house that was said to have terrorized the Perron family following their move into the home in 1971. The house itself dates back to 1826 and fetched 27%  above the asking price in it's recent sale.

According to the Journal, the newest owner Jacqueline Nuñez, 58 , is a Boston based real estate developer. With her purchase she agreed to one of the sellers terms, not living in the home for the person's own good . However she did say she will host events in the house with the Perron family.

The sellers were paranormal investigators, Jenn and Cory Heinzen, who bought the home in 2019 for just over €407,000. They said upon moving in, they lived in only one room as a sign of respect for the spirits, saying they 'let them get used to us instead of barging in'.

Still, they claimed they were visited by a black colored figure, “Once we realized we were both awake and both seeing it, it was gone,” said Cory.

How much would it take for you to move in here?
